Web Coder Plus

Well I’ve finished skinning the blog, though it required some modifications to the css that I had made for the rest of the site. One thing that struck me was how it looked totally shit if I allowed the content to go to the full width of the page after the floating green box ended. This is how I have it with the main site, and since the articles are going to be quite long, it doesn’t look that bad, but this blog definitly needed a fixed width content section.

One advantage is that 800×600 users will be able to read all the article, so I’m wondering if its better to go with the same fixed width layout throughout the site. It also allows greater use of borders since they won’t be extending under the green box anymore.

Seems like such a waste of real estate though.
