OMG it is an OS in your browser!
Now I would never suggest to anyone that the site, Musings from the Void, is a good idea for usability (maybe it is
) and web standards(definitely not); but I have to say, from a geek coder point of view, damn that site is cool.
Done completely within the confines of blogspot, it is definitely a cool, and funny, jab at all this talk about webOS lately. It takes a bit of time to load the first time, but assuming your browser is caching fine, it shouldn’t be too slow after that, and it is definitely worth the wait.

well thank you for the kind comment
I know it breaks about every webstandard you care to find, but

a) I could never get blogger code to validate anyway
b) it still renders in every browser I could get my hands on
also, while I work in IT I am most definitely NOT a site coder. But I’ll surely come back here once in a while and pick up some tips.
The biggest problem with load times I have is that I have to pull in a few RSS feeds and reformat them using feedsweep or feedburner to render as HTML. If one or more of these services are slow, well, you’ll be staring at the loading screen for a while. Them’s the breaks of using only free tools.

Yea, I started this blog with blogger, and changed due to the fact that you cannot get it to validate. No point running a web site about web design and standards if your own blog doesn’t validate.
Your blog loads up okay in Opera 8.5, but you cannot view the blog entry, or any of the desktop windows. Then again Opera JavaScript always has to be difficult.
Still, very cool.
